The Choral Scholar of University College Dublin

University College Dublin Choral Scholars is Ireland’s leading collegiate choral-ensemble. With a large repertoire ranging from art to popular music, and stretching from the medieval to the contemporary in style, this vocal ensemble gives many major concerts throughout the academic year, both nationally and internationally. UCD Choral Scholars have toured Holland, Hungary, Luxembourg, Italy, the UK, and the eastern states of the United States of America. They have a working relationship with national and international ensembles, performing with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra at home, and the European Union Chamber Orchestra in Ireland and abroad. The choir recently recorded a disc of Irish choral music (with settings of Irish texts by Irish and international composers) for the UK label, Signum Records.
Nigel Short, Artistic Director of the UK professional choir Tenebrae, recently described this college choir as ‘one of the finest college choirs I have ever heard on my travels – such fabulous intonation, blend and musicality.’ If you are an experienced solo singer or keen choral singer interested in joining one of the most accomplished third-level choirs in Ireland, then this is the group for you.
